Class 372 (DR230) are four-axle universal electric locomotives designed for operation on electrified lines with a supply voltage of 3kV= and 15kV~ 16 2/3 Hz. They were manufactured in 1988 (prototypes) and 1991 (series production). They were designed for transporting passenger and freight trains.
The locomotive model allows the player to sit behind the virtual control panel of this locomotive class and try out what it's like to operate the controls in cabins and, at least for a moment, take the role of a real train driver.
Among other things, the model includes:
- advanced brake and traction model
- first version of train safety device LS IV
- german train safety device PZB80R PZB90
- simulation of two independent cabins
- authentic sounds recorded on real machines
- possibility of complete start-up proceure, so-called "cold start" or use of quick-start
- accurate model of both the interior and exterior
